Kyoto City Bus
Kyoto City Bus service is very convenient for sightseeing in the city. Most of the city bus vehicles are light green color but some vehicles have colorful special appearance. There are two fare structures: flat fare (220 yen) lines and changeable lines using numbered ticket (the fare changes depending on the distance). However it is better to check where and when to transfer in advance.
Kyoto Bus
Kyoto Bus provides services to the northern Kyoto city (Iwakura, Kurama and Ohara) and Arashiyama area.
Keihan Bus
Keihan Bus provides services from the central city to Yamashina area.
JR Bus
JR Bus provides services from the central city to Takao and Keihoku line. This line connects Kyoto Station or Shijo Omiya stop to Ninna-ji Temple, Takao and Togano-o area. There are many historical spots and famous cherry blossom and autumn colored leaves viewing spots in these areas. Japan Rail Pass holder can use the pass on this bus.
