I admire spirit of Japanese people. How they deal with this tragedy is incredible. We have earthquakes in Taiwan too, therefore I have no fear to come to Japan. It is true that Japan has been under the serious situation due to the nuclear power plant in Fukushima but Kyoto is far away enough. I was impressed how well Japanese people are educated seeing their attitude after the earthquake.

This is our first visit to Kyoto, upon recommendations by a friend. It is beautiful here! Very picturesque and calm. It's easy to get around by the local city bus and also by JR train. Come and visit!!!
I used to work for an airline company so I was able to get safety information from my old company before coming. We are visiting Tokyo after Kyoto.

To be honest, our friends and family worried very much as they knew we were traveling to Japan. But we had no anxiety as we confirmed the level of contamination by radiation was very low. As we initially planned, we stopped at Nikko, relatively close to Fukushima, but enjoyed our time very much. After we travel around the Kansai area, we are heading back to Tokyo and then staying in the Takaragawa Onsen hot spring.

I come to Japan every month because I am a pilot of FedEx. I can receive all information about Japan from my office so I am always sure that most part of Japan, except for the devastated region in Tohoku, is quite safe. I look forward to seeing beautiful Japanese crafts while I am in Kyoto.

We are visiting Japan to give a lecture at the Kyoto University. We look forward to seeing the Aoi Festival and then visit my old students living in Kagoshima. We heard that most part of Japan is quite safe except for the actual devastated region in the northern Japan. We believe that visiting Japan is supporting people in Japan.

I came to Japan to visit my son working as an English teacher in Osaka. I heard from him that there is no danger in the western Japan and it is quite true. It's raining today but I feel it makes the greens in the city outstanding. I look forward to visiting the Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Nijo Castle and other historical locations in Kyoto.
